What is "Loose Lay Flooring?"

Flooring that doesn't require adhesive or installation is considered "loose lay" or "floating" flooring. You can reposition your vinyl flooring any time you need to; move it to another corner or a different part of your home with ease. With G‑Floor® vinyl flooring, it really is as easy as "unroll and go."

Easy installation, no adhesive required

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I'm doing a full wall-to-wall installation, how much space do I need to leave around the perimeter?

A: When not using adhesive, we recommend a 1" gap between the flooring and walls or large, heavy stationary objects, such as shelving/cabinets or workbenches. Vinyl will expand/contract as temperatures change, so the gap allows the flooring room to expand without being inhibited. Not allowing this space can lead to the mat pushing against the object and causing buckling and rippling.
